Hey, look! I have business cards! Aren’t they fun?
I’ve carried them around for months now, but I have only handed them out to three people. I feel silly to talking about my craft-blogging habit to strangers (or friends even). Even so, these Moo MiniCards make me smile to see them floating around my purse. Now, I will be grinning even more to see that Wonderwoman’s scantily clad fanny is all wrapped up in cozy warm felt – embroidered felt at that.
I took pictures as I went along. So, you will even get a quick little tutorial out of the deal.
Here you go…
Step 1: Embroider a little something on a scrap of wool felt.
Step 2: Cut out two rectangles, one around the embroidery, 1 1/2″ by 3″.
That is to say:
1 1/8″ (height of business card) + 1/4″ (two seam allowances) + 1/8″ (ease) = 1 1/2″
2 3/4″ (width of business card) + 1/8″ (one seam allowance) + 1/8″ (ease) = 3″
Step 3: Sew sides together using a blanket stitch.
Not all the sides obviously. 🙂 The two long ones and a short one. A pin or two is handy for holding the layers together while sewing.
Then, that’s it. Slide in some mini cards.
These sleeves would also work for standard sized business cards. Just adjust the dimensions in step 2 to match.
So, if you see me in person, be sure to ask for a card. If not for any other reason, but to check out the case. 🙂
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, but I did receive free Moo MiniCards as part of the Klout Perks program. Which means, I spend way too much time on the internet and, consequently, a couple of companies wanted to give me free stuff. Go figure.
