As a quick note, if you are reading this post in a RSS reader or email, you might want to pop over to sewfearless.com to see the blog makeover that happened this weekend! Sew Fearless has been going strong since March 2010 and it seemed about time to make it feel more like “home”. There will be some tweaking happening in the coming weeks, but for the most part, I am delighted to have worked with the amazing duo over at Honeycomb Design Studio. Thanks, Honey and Jonah!
I’m trying something new today – vlogging. I’ve shown snippets of where I sew before, but I have moved around the house quite a bit during the last couple years. We live in a small 2 bedroom house and I don’t currently have my own sewing studio. This will hopefully change in the not-so-distant future. For now, it is what it is and I am grateful for a lifestyle that allows my sewing to spill into all parts of my life, and of my house.
So, without further ado… I present to you… my living room…. my cleaned living room.
I have to apologize that I didn’t show you my basement sewing storage area. It really was so dark and scary down there I just couldn’t bring myself to take video of it. So much for keeping it real, I guess. 😛
more about the things in the video:
- sewing desk
- sewing machine
- pincushion caddy
- embroidery project bag
- the fabric for my next Mommy Poppins bag
- the blazer project
- re-upholstery, a someday project
- the basement area where I used to sew, but which is now a big chaotic mess of clean and dirty laundry and junk, and now I just store stuff there
Where do you do your sewing?
Do you have the luxury of a whole room to yourself? A corner? A desk? The kitchen table? The entire house?
