So… I thought making a straight skirt was going to be a quick, bang out in a couple of days type project, even with tailoring. It has turned out to be more involved than I anticipated, and more emotional too. It is a scary thing to pull out the tape measure and leave the world of vanity sizing behind. Thankfully, my MIL has given me tips over the phone and email to set me on the right path. This weekend I hope to buy the fabric and give it a go.
I’m looking forward to the result. A skirt that fits ME and a pattern all set for other fabric variations. It just might take me a bit longer than I previously expected.
still haven’t made it to the store. bummer.
