This fall has my eldest in preschool and my mornings are a bit easier. In fact this morning, my one-year-old took his nap two hours early and I found myself alone with my daughter. I immediately started rushing around cleaning house (OK, fine, I checked Facebook first). Until a sweet little “Can you show me how to sew, Mommy?” stopped me in my tracks and I spent the next two hours enjoying my daughter. I mean how could you resist this sweet little person?
I asked her what she wanted to sew and she told me “pajamas for her ‘baby sister'”. After compromising down to a simple skirt, she picked fabric and thread and we got to work. We cut together, pinned, and I let her press the Start/Stop buttons as I guided the fabric through.
It was definitely more fun the washing the bathroom floor.
she is adorable. Good for you teaching her to sew, you are an excellent mama:)
Thanks, Molly. All you unschooling moms are great reminders to follow your children’s interests. 🙂
Even better than sister-sister club. That is so cool! And sweet.
We really need to have a sister-sister club soon.
So sweet Jodi!! And so great to get some quality one on one time. And she is so stinking cute too!
