Clothes for Killian

October 2, 2010 by Jodi 4 Comments

Yesterday morning, this delightful little boy was born.  The news was a long time coming.  It was 11 days past his due date and his mother was more than ready for him to come.

When the news of Killian’s birth finally arrived, I was itching to make him a little something.  His gender had remained a surprise until birth and his only sibling is a sister. So, I wanted to give his mother a taste of the lovableness of little boys’ clothing.

The flannel pants are made from Simplicity 3656 (shhh! Don’t tell!), sized XXS.  To complete the outfit, I dressed up a hand-me-down infant undershirt with a scrap applique.  It is applied in the same manner as my place mats with a lightweight fusible interfacing on the back of the shirt to help it hold up to the stitching.

Welcome, Killian! We are so happy you finally decided to join us!
