If the success of a weekend could be measured in the quantity of eggs and butter consumed, this weekend would have been the best ever.

Somehow, in 6 years, this…
become this.
And because words are failing me, I will just show the cake.
A “digging for dinosaurs” one, as per the birthday boy’s request.
And as if that were not enough to get me all teary eyed and emotional…
Today, Gladys turned one.
I’m left speechless.
Except to say…
I am grateful to have had my mother-heart broken in and built up by these little people,
and that they give me so many wonderful opportunities to make cake.

Aw, it was my daughter’s 9th on Sat. and my son will be 5 on Wednesday! I love March, but it is a bit hard on my mother’s heart too. Happy Birthday to your little ones!
I’ve noticed a lot of birthdays over the weekend. 🙂 A good time of year to be born!
I love the cake Jodi! Happy birthday little one!
I made it from scratch! I’m all proud of myself!
And I will never go back to American buttercream. This Swiss stuff is just too yummy!
Happy birthday! I first met you on Twitter when you were pregnant with Gladys so that means we’ve been friends for over a year! Time flies when you’re raising babies, for sure!
Happy birthday…wish you nice & happy year
