Chugging Along

September 16, 2011 by Jodi 4 Comments

I realized today that, although I have popped in to say hello on Facebook and on Twitter, I haven’t updated here.

Things have been busy. I’ve been chugging away at this INSANE bag project (a sneak peek above).  It involves making and using piping (which I’ve never done before), loads of my fav stabilizer, plastic canvas, heavy weight cotton canvas, zippers (ugh), and, of course, brightly colored quilting cottons. You know, the good kind of insane.

I’ve also been trying to squeeze in some crafting for a local festival. A friend of mine is putting together a booth and I would love to have some of my own wares to contribute. Motivation is a bit of a problem in this department.  Except for mending, mass production is my least favorite part of sewing.

And on the home front…

I have a feeling that sewing is going to be even more difficult soon…

Sew Fearless is about a reckless pursuit of the sewing craft. It is about not letting your fears talk you out of your dreams. It is a place to go for encouragement, information, and sewing camaraderie. It’s a place where “done” is better than “perfect”, and where saying “I didn’t try” is worse than “I failed”. Read More…
