Minoru Sew-along: Check-in Day #8

January 31, 2012 by Jodi 6 Comments

I got sick over the weekend – a miserable head cold. Which meant I sat around whining about how horrible I felt, fell behind on the Minoru Sew-along, and spent way too much time organizing my Pinterest boards. This morning, I feel about 90% better and I am now all caught up on my jacket.

“How did you manage to sew while caring for three kids, Jodi?”, you ask.

Well….
For one, my kids are culinary geniuses and can make their own breakfasts.

And for another, I am a strong believer in “self-directed” play times. 😉

Now that I’ve gotten that taken care of, we are going out to enjoy this freakishly spring-like day.

laterz.

OMG, I love your response to the question about sewing and 3 kids. LOVE IT!!! Your Minoru is looking great so far.

I am going to take a page out of your book parenting wise so I can get my sew on more often.

I don’t recommend child-neglect as a good long-term parenting strategy, but it made for a pleasant morning for us. 🙂

Yes that is a great length on you, and a great cut, and good color. Good luck on the finish, it is awesome!

ELDERBERRY TEA! At the very least, good old Michigan TART CHERRY JUICE.
