Embroidered – A Pendant and a Poem

July 10, 2012 by Jodi 13 Comments

a video poet husband – a seamstress wife
a collaboration

It had started off simply enough – a plain bit of fabric and some pretty floss.

A camera was added into the mix.

Together, they recorded life as it happened.

Finishing touches, more ideas, even more tweaks, and finally it was done.

Two pieces of art – a pendant and a poem.

That was really neat. =) I loved seeing the embroidery grow and fill in, and the poem was great too.

OMG Jodi, I simply adore this. I’m going to share it on my blog this week, if it’s okay with you? I came by to check out how you made the embroidered pendant – I’m thinking of doing my next embroidery class with a pendant tutorial. I remembered how beautiful your pendant is! This video makes it so much sweeter. <3!!!

Where can I get the material or something like it. I don’t embroider well but I think I might be able to handle this.
