Bits of Sewing Bliss

November 16, 2012 by Jodi 8 Comments

I feel like that should be some  sort of “Friday Favs” or “7 Quick Takes” linkup that I should be doing here, but I don’t feel like finding one right now. Instead, you will just have to indulge me as I share some little things that are making me smile these days.

Discovering alternative uses for sewing patterns, like a tissue paper substitute when mailing gifts.

Starting a “selfish” sewing project.

Finding the perfect colored bins and tins in the clearance section of our grocery store.

Finally getting back to work on the Mommy Poppin’s bag pattern. It’s been far too long.

But most of all…

…having this happy place always ready and waiting for me.
(I’m working on putting together a little tour of my new sewing room now that it is up and running. Post soon!)

What’s making you smile today?

Everything looks beautiful – the bag is turning out very well! I love the bins – I found my matching bins at Joann, but I’m going to need to upgrade them and also get some file holders for my every growing collection of patterns. 🙂

I’m happy that my skirt is almost done – last night installed my first apparel zipper and did my first hem. AND – it fits!

My hubby bringing me my half of banana while I’m at the computer. Thinking of seeing my grands next week and their parents!

Love these, especially the tissue paper idea for gifts.

Sew Fearless is about a reckless pursuit of the sewing craft. It is about not letting your fears talk you out of your dreams. It is a place to go for encouragement, information, and sewing camaraderie. It’s a place where “done” is better than “perfect”, and where saying “I didn’t try” is worse than “I failed”. Read More…
