Apparently, this is Easy Project Week on Sew Fearless. Matthias’ godmother, Theresa, is due with her first baby this month, and I was lucky enough to spend a morning putting together a coordinating gift set for her.
When given the choice between a few of my standard baby gifts, she requested a nursing cover. Don’t you just love shopping for baby gift fabrics? There is such a wealth of options in quilting cottons, unlike when searching for apparel fabrics. I enjoy the balancing act of the mom’s taste, my taste, and the baby’s gender and how it plays out in my fabric choices.
Theresa asked for bright greens and browns. I had fun pairing it with the navy blue print. The Cutting Counter Lady raised her eyebrows at my choice, but am digging it. So 😛 to her.

What’s your favorite baby shower gift to give or receive?
Love your fabrics too!! Lovely!
I love the fabric combination too. =) Those nursing covers are so handy too… until the kid learns to kick it out of the way or grab it and peek out at everyone… =)
