Sara and Alyssa’s Mommy Poppins Bags

April 25, 2013 by Jodi Leave a Comment

Here we are again with another two pattern tester’s versions of the Mommy Poppins Bag. The first is by Sara of SewLittleToSay.

Sara lives in the UK and offered to test out the pattern using a 16 inch frame.

“Jodi’s instructions are excellent and her patterns are fully illustrated with clear photographs. Although this bag looked rather challenging, the pattern is in easy steps and everything is clearly explained.” – Sara

Sara really is a master of details and included a few more handy details to her bag like a cellphone pocket and bag feet. Read about all the details in her blog post!

Click on over to Alyssa’s blog to see more photos and details of her bag project.

Isn’t it wild how different each of these testers fabrics are? Bags say a lot about the woman who uses them, and it goes doubly so when she makes her bag herself! Want kind of style do you want to go for? Bright florals for a beachy tote? Upholstery fabrics for a classic carpetbag? Bold modern prints? It’s your bag, let it speak about you!

Sew Fearless is about a reckless pursuit of the sewing craft. It is about not letting your fears talk you out of your dreams. It is a place to go for encouragement, information, and sewing camaraderie. It’s a place where “done” is better than “perfect”, and where saying “I didn’t try” is worse than “I failed”. Read More…
