Suzanne’s Mommy Poppins Bag

April 23, 2013 by Jodi 2 Comments

Suzanne's Mommy Poppins Bag (pattern buy sewfearless.com)

Remember my blog crush on Suzanne? She is one lovely, humorous and talented lady. So, when she agreed to help test my pattern for me, you can guess how excited I was. (hint: very)

The pattern calls for heavier-weight fabrics, but Suzanne fused lighter-weight cottons to use instead. The fabrics are just perfect! Especially the suede detail she added to the back pocket. I’m a sucker for leather.

Suzanne is an experienced garment sewist, but is new to bag making. This is what she had to say about the pattern:

I found your instructions to be incredibly detailed. If I didn’t understand something, I would just go back and read it again…and sure enough, you had already answered whatever question I had. – Suzanne

Sew Fearless is about a reckless pursuit of the sewing craft. It is about not letting your fears talk you out of your dreams. It is a place to go for encouragement, information, and sewing camaraderie. It’s a place where “done” is better than “perfect”, and where saying “I didn’t try” is worse than “I failed”. Read More…
