Bluebell Bonnet

June 8, 2017 by Jodi 5 Comments

Edna Louise has been sweetening our life for almost three months now.

She is outrageously spoiled by all eight of us, and she is equally delighted with all the little faces that smile at her all day long. Being a baby of a big family must be the most glorious start in life.

(Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this pattern for review. All opinions are my own.)

I made Edna this little bonnet to keep the sun off her delicate skin using the Bluebell Bonnet pattern by Peek-A-Boo Pattern Shop. It has a great classic shape that gives off Little House on the Prairie vibes. Which is probably why my other girls have already requested bonnets for themselves, too.

I did have trouble with puckers the my seam at the back of the hat, because the seam lines didn’t match in length. However, the rest of the project came together as I had hoped, and it doesn’t bother me terribly.

Hehe. I agree, being the baby of a big family must be its own kind of wonderful. I know my #4 is loved beyond measure by his big siblings. They’re coming back from a camping excursion with the grandparents today, and I think he’ll be out of his mind with excitement.
