Beau Baby Doll Carrier (and my new blog-crush)

May 24, 2012 by Jodi 9 Comments

I am a baby carrier collector.
(And baby collector too.)

I don’t think any mother of more than one child should try to parent without one. (opinionated much?) There are different carriers for different seasons – a ring sling for when they are tiny, a Mei Tai when money is too tight for a fancy backpack, and my current love… the Ergo.

My god-daughter’s mother is also an Ergo lover, and my god-daughter loves taking care of her baby dolls. What would be more fun for her than a mini-version of the Ergo? To avoid a rebellion, I had to make one for my children as well.

In my search for the pattern* for these adorable tot-sized soft structured carriers, I discovered an awesome sewing blogger, Suzanne. I have such a big crush on her sarcastic style and her lovely sewing projects. She’s a mom! And she sews for herself! And her husband! I can’t give that enough exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So head over to Beau Baby and give her a little comment love, will ya?

(*The pattern is no longer available on her website. 🙁 🙁 This one looks similar, but I haven’t used it.)

I went over to Beau Baby, but cannot find a pattern… do you have one (or something that I could follow) for your awesome Ergo?

beau baby pulled her pattern because she did not have time to answer questions for a free pattern.

My ergo was bought. Worth every cent.
